Staying Right on a Winery Along The Bench

This is the quintessential Naramata stay, and probably the reason most people come here in the first place. A string of wineries along Naramata Road offer guest suites or cottages right on the property, so you wake up and look out at the same vines you'll be tasting from that afternoon. It's about as immersive as wine country accommodation gets, but you'll want a car or a driver, since you're not exactly walking distance to much beyond the winery you're staying at.

Naramata's actual village centre is small, just a general store, a cafe, a few restaurants, and a public waterfront park, but staying here puts you within walking distance of all of it, plus the beach and the lake. It's a good option if you want a bit more to do on foot in the evenings without needing to drive back from a winery dinner. Still quiet and slow-paced by any normal standard, just slightly less remote than staying out on the bench itself.

A bit further out past Naramata proper, Chute Lake is a different kind of quiet altogether, and more backcountry than wine country. It's a good option for anyone wanting to pair their Naramata trip with some hiking or a stretch of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail. It's remote enough that you'll want to plan ahead, but it has a kind of charm you can't find closer to the highway.

Naramata's small scale means large group accommodation tends to come in the form of full houses or bigger vacation rentals rather than hotels, so it's worth booking early if you've got a big crew. Below are solid options sorted by how many people they sleep.
